Outdoor Learning training opportunities
Surrey Wildlife Trust offers Outdoor Learning training for educators
Outdoor Learning is usually curriculum-linked and adult-led, with clear learning objectives and the same structured approach as classroom-based lessons. Taking learning outdoors offers different resources, higher pupil engagement, and the many benefits of fresh air and open space on the physical and mental well being of your students.

We will also visit a nearby school grounds to look at how they use their grounds in teaching and learning. Complete follow up work to gain a certificate accredited at Level 2 by AIM Qualifications. We deliver this course in partnership with SOLD.

Forest School Training
Forest School Training is no longer delivered by Surrey Wildlife Trust, but training is still available through a number of local organisations.
Why we no longer offer training
Surrey Wildlife Trust has delivered Forest School training in the county for over a decade, training and supporting hundreds of Forest School Practitioners in Surrey. Now that it is firmly established in the county, and with many other organisations offering this training, we have taken the decision to move our focus elsewhere.
With the urgent need to restore nature by 2030, a core mission of the Wildlife Trusts as a whole. We are now focusing our resources on supporting schools and communities to make positive changes for nature.
We continue to run our Wilder Schools programme in schools, provide a CPD training programme for educators, and offer activities for schools at our educational nature reserve.
