Our Wilder Communities programme is a key part of our nature recovery efforts in Surrey, helping to support community groups across the county improve local green spaces for wildlife.
The ecological value of our community spaces can often be overlooked, but every street, park, garden, stream and green space has the potential to help wildlife. These locations are key in supporting nature recovery across Surrey and reaching our goal of connecting and protecting at least 30% of land for nature’s recovery by 2030.
We truly believe every community can contribute to our goal of reviving nature, and your support is crucial to our success!
Key focus areas
Over the next few years our Wilder Communities programme is focusing on the key areas of Guildford, Bramley, Shalford, Wonersh, Worplesdon, Farnham, Haslemere, Godalming, Dorking, Redhill and Reigate. These areas have been chosen to maximise nature connectivity from West to East across Surrey. If your community group is located in one of these areas then please get in touch!
