Education volunteering

Inspire the next generation

Join our education staff and volunteers to help teach young people about wildlife and help them to connect with nature!

Based at our beautiful ancient woodland private nature reserve and education centre at Nower Wood, our education volunteers support the delivery of nature discovery days, tutor-led sessions, holiday clubs and open days throughout the year. Activities include leading pond-dipping, mini-beasting and sensory forest trails to name a few!

Our education team help thousands of children each year to connect with, and become curious and confident in nature.

How to get involved

If you’d like to volunteer with our education team, please register your interest and we will get in touch with further information to get you started. We will then invite you to join one of our recruitment days to find out more and join a taster session.

Explore Nower Wood

I enjoy knowing that everyone is at least as enthusiastic about the natural world as I am, and hopefully either kindling or further developing that interest in the young children who come to Nower Wood with their schools.
