Bring your children to our Wild Families Making Space for Nature event and learn how to take action for nature in your own home and garden!
This fun-filled and informative day out for all the family will consist of three sessions to inspire you to help nature:
This fun-filled and informative day out for all the family will consist of activities to inspire you to help make space for nature.
- Session 1 - Making Space for Nature activities including - learn how to make recycled paper pots and plant seeds to take home and grow, learn how to make a bucket pond and build a 5 star bug hotel!
- Session 2 - Nature Journals. Learn how to make a nature journal and use it to record what you see on a walk around our woodland.
- Session 3 - Woodland Walk. Come for a walk around the woods, go on a minibeast hunt and pond dip for creatures to record in your new nature journals!
We will then finish the day by making a Pledge for Nature to ensure that Surrey’s nature thrives in 2026!
This event runs from 10.00 - 15.00. A family ticket costs just £20 per car (SWT members) or £30 per car (non-members).
Hot beverages and biscuits will be available throughout the day, but please bring a packed lunch with you for lunchtime. Nower Wood is a nut-free centre so please avoid any foods containing nuts.
The activities are suitable for children aged 5+ and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please book your car parking space ticket in advance. This event is limited by parking spaces, so please car share where possible. If you are a Blue Badge holder, please contact us in advance to book an accessible parking space.
