About the event

Join us at the stunning Bonhurst Farm for a guided walk and opportunity to see our newborn lambs and calves up close.

Our experts will be on hand to enlighten you about conservation grazing, stories of farm life and give you a wonderful heart warming experience.

Heath & Safety Warnings!

Following advice from Public Health England, we will not be offering any opportunity to cuddle the lambs due to high risk of transition of micro organisms such as E. Coli and Cryptosporidium.

Pregnant Women, Under 5s and individuals with weakened immune systems

Within lambing flocks there is always a risk of a disease presence. Women who are, or may be, pregnant SHOULD NOT attend this event. The risk of attendance and possible disease presence could cause miscarriage.

Cattle and sheep are the main recognised carriers of E. coli O157. Only small numbers of the organism are required to cause illness and anyone can be infected. Children, the elderly and individuals with weakened immune systems are the most vulnerable.

To reduce the risk of illness, no food or drink is to be consumed onsite, hands are to be thoroughly washed and dried after touching contaminated surfaces, such as fence posts, hays or railings.

Disinfectant mats to clean boots and / or buggy wheels should be used on arrival and departure and we would advise wearing wellington boots on the day.
