Nextdoor Nature comes knocking

Our Nextdoor Nature project has launched!

We’re asking communities within the project areas to get in touch to create, develop and maintain green spaces within their neighbourhoods.

Surrey Wildlife Trust's Nextdoor Nature project will be supporting communities and schools in developing their own green spaces for nature and wildlife. We want to give communities the tools they need to fight nature’s corner at home.

We’re now taking applications! If you want to be a driving force for nature within your local area, register your interest now and the Nextdoor Nature Community Officer will be in touch.

We want to hear from a range of adult, youth and school communities. If you’re a group of individuals with a shared passion for your community, we’d love to hear from you!

Community groups may include but are not limited to:

Religious groups
Uniform groups (e.g. Scouts and Guides)
Community allotments
Committees
Community centres
Youth club
Schools
Playgroups
Allotment groups
Commities

The Project will run until June 2024. The amount of support provided to each group will vary depending on the project being undertaken. Our goal is to empower communities to sustain their action for nature beyond the completion of the project.

We’re excited to get started and to hear about your aspirations for your communities!
