Free Will-writing services
Write your Will for free
We have entered into a number of partnerships that enable our supporters to write their Wills for free, with no obligations whatsoever. In each case, we cover a discretionary fee for simple Wills to be written. There are two options to choose from: Octopus Legacy and National Free Wills Network.
With Octopus Legacy, you can make a Will online in 15 to 20 minutes, over the phone or face to face with a solicitor. With National Free Wills Network, you can have your Will written by a local solicitor.
Please note that only simple Wills are covered. If you have a complex estate, you can use Octopus Legacy or National Free Wills Network and pay for any additional services. Alternatively, you could find a solicitor via The Law Society.
Option A: Octopus Legacy
We’ve partnered with expert estate planners, Octopus Legacy, so you can write or update your will for free*. The cost of your will is covered by us up to £150 – so you can write or update a simple will for free or get a will with trust at a discounted rate.
While many supporters choose to include a gift in their will to Surrey Wildlife Trust, there’s no obligation to do so when using this service.
You can write your will:
- Online
- Over the phone/video call
- In-person (At home or in-branch)

*Applies to simple wills only. Discounts are applicable for wills with trusts.
Option B: National Free Wills Network
Thanks to our membership of the National Free Wills Network, we are able to offer our supporters the opportunity to have your Will written by a local solicitor – with Surrey Wildlife Trust paying at a discounted rate for the writing of simple Wills.
