About the event

Join us on Friday 4th July 8.30pm - 11pm for a special night-time guided walk around our heathland nature reserve.

Experience a magical evening discovering the magnificent European Nightjar and hear its unmistakable churring and wing clapping as they defend their territory, hunt for insects and call to attract a mate.

As dusk descends and this magnificent bird takes to the wing, our walk leaders will take you on a journey to discover all about these incredible birds, who fly all the way from Africa to Surrey's heathland.

The walk is approximately 2 miles on mostly sandy tracks with some minor obstacles and steps. Walking boots are recommended. We will walk at a gentle pace with lots of opportunities to stop and ask questions.
