About the event

Explore our private woodland reserve in bloom with beautiful bluebells and enjoy family activates for all ages.

Usually closed to the public, Nower Wood is home to our fantastic education centre in stunning woodland surrounds. 

Our spring open day is the chance to come and enjoy this beautiful site with your family and friends when the woodlands are bursting with blooms and the ponds are busy with bugs and newts.

Activities

There will be lots of free activities on offer along our adventure trail - including:

• Minibeast hunting
• Pond dipping
• Marshmallow toasting
• Woodland play

Accessibility

Nower Wood features an accessible wheelchair-friendly woodland trail featuring carved woodland creatures and Changing Places certified toilet facilities. If you have any accessibility needs, please get in touch and we will be happy provide more information.

Sessions

Morning session - 10:00-12:30
Afternoon session - 13:30-16:00

Please choose one session and book your parking space(s) in advance. This event is limited by parking spaces, so please car share where possible. 

Please note: your car may be blocked in for the full period of your session, therefore we ask that you leave promptly at the end of your session to allow everyone to exit. Blue badge holders please contact us in advance to book an accessible parking space.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Nower Wood is a nut-free centre, so please avoid food containing nuts. Please wear appropriate clothing for exploring the woods.

On arrival, just walk through the arch and up the steps from the car park to the field centre.
