About the event

Aged 16- 30 and intrested in invertebrates? Join Surrey Wildlife Trust and John Madden, member of the Lingfield Nature Reserves Management Committee to check out the local insect life. 

Together we will go on a guided walk with a focus on butterflies and then will look through different surveying technqiues to sample invertebrates inclduing sweep netting and pitfall trapping. It is a great opportunity to spend time in nature and meet with like-minded young people.

This walk will be part of out bigger wilder families day and you are welcome to take part in the rest of the activties before and after. This walk however will be exclusive for young people.

Find the main entrance on the western edge of Jenner's Field, park and playground in Lingfield.

Travel by train: The nearest train station is Lingfield Station, Station Rd, Lingfield RH7 6EF. It is a 12 minute walk to the site. Find out more about the station here.
 

Travel by Car: Village car park (Gun Pit Road Car Park, RH7 6AP) is a 7 minute walk from the site and free on Sundays. There is limited parking around the village/streets.
