The British Hedgehog - ONLINE
About the event
This three hour ONLINE course about the hedgehog, will give you an opportunity to learn all about hedgehogs around the world but will focus mostly on the beloved British species. You will find out what hedgehogs go through during the year and their struggles here in the UK. At the end of this course, you will also discover ways that you can help our declining hedgehogs at home.
We will be using Zoom to run this event and therefore all delegates must download this free app prior to the course date. There will be a maximum of 10 people on this course to encourage as much interaction and one-on-one conversation as possible.
Tutor Details - Lizzy foster
- She has been with the trust for over 3 years. Starting as a volunteer, she became an intern and now is an education officer. She has run school trips to our nature reserves, conducted assemblies and regularly visits school grounds to provide simple wildlife gardening advice.
- In her spare time she volunteers for a local wildlife rescue (Folly Wildlife Rescue). Here she occasionally helps with the husbandry of animals, but mainly presents hedgehog talks to both children and adults.
- She has always had a passion for wildlife, especially sharing how we can all help them.
