About the event

This is a hands-on session built around exploration, curiosity, discovery, connection, creativity and celebration of all that our natural spaces have to offer and be thankful for.

A chance for you to strengthen your own nature connection and to think about simple ways you can ‘give back’ and help nature along the way.

The day will run from 10:30 – 14:30, with a short break for lunch and be held at Nower Wood Education Centre.

Parking is available but limited so we encourage car sharing where possible. For this event you may park in the areas labelled coach parking as well as the usual car park. When you arrive, you will need to walk through the carved archway and up the steps to the centre. There is accessible parking outside the centre, please contact us in advance to ensure a space is available.

This event is suitable for all ages, although we do want to mention that only the areas around the centre are pushchair friendly and we will be out being active in the woodland for the majority of the time . If you would like more information about accessibility for the day please don't hesitate to call us. Please get in touch if any members of your party have individual accessibility needs so that we can ensure that everyone can get the best out of their day. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and booking is essential. Babes in arms go free.

You will need to bring waterproofs and shoes suitable for exploring the woods. We advise wearing long sleeves and long trousers/leggings to avoid the risk of prickly plants or picking up ticks - please ask if you would like more info on this. Although we will be in the woods for a large part of the day, the ponds are more open and so sun cream and a sun hat are also a good idea. We will provide light refreshments on the day but please bring your own packed lunch.
