Fames Rough is part of the Chipstead Downs Site of Special Scientific Interest and is a haven for many rare plant species. It is sheep grazed by the Downlands Project.
Accessibility and facilities
- An unmade car park with unmarked parking bays can be found on Holly Lane, Chipstead.
- There are no accessible self-guided trails at this site.
- Paths are uneven, slippery and steep.
- There are no refreshments or toilets on site.
- This site is not suitable for wheelchair and mobility scooter users, or people with serious mobility issues.
