Papercourt Meadows is part of the larger Papercourt SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) complex that lies on a floodplain between the village of Send and the River Wey.
The majority of the reserve is covered by a floodplain grazing marsh, with areas of open water and trees. The site is bordered by watercourses on three sides - these include the River Wey and Broadmead Cut.
Flora species of note include marsh stitchwort, water-dropwort and slender tuffted sedge, whilst birds include reed bunting, sedge warbler, linnet and stonechat. Meadow pipit and dunnock may also be spotted, as well as a variety of owls at dusk.
