About the event
Gain your Level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants qualification on this modular course run over four days on 29th & 30th September and 20th & 21st October 2021 at our beautiful ancient woodland reserve in Leatherhead.
Level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants is a nationally recognised qualification accredited by the Open College Network West Midlands, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification to assist Forest School activities.
Course dates (4 days) Wednesday 29th & Thursday 30th September and Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st October 2021.
The Level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants training course covers the following:
✓ Understanding the Forest School ethos, principles and holistic approach to learning and development.
✓ How to perform the role of Assistant at a Forest School in relation to the Forest School ethos, principles and criteria.
✓ How to support learning and development at a forest school.
✓ Practice the skills to help children learn and develop in a woodland environment, including fire-lighting, tool use, games, arts and crafts, identification and use of woodland resources
✓ Monthly mentoring - monthly opportunity to receive advice on your portfolio work (not compulsory but advised)
✓ Continuing portfolio advice and assessment from the Tutors
Booking is essential, course fee is £490.00. A £100 deposit is required to confirm a place on the course
