This 16hr Forest School Outdoor First Aid course with the option of an additional certification in Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid is aimed at those who work or play outdoors with adults and/or children.

About the event

Forest School Outdoor First Aid (L3 - 16hr) This qualification introduces the techniques, skills and decisions that will be needed by the Forest School Leader and outdoor practitioner perhaps hours from assistance, in the British Isles. The skills and knowledge will be taught in a realistic Forest School setting and will satisfy the first aid requirements for Forest School Leaders and instructors with most of the outdoor industry National Governing Bodies. This qualification meets the requirements of the Institute for Outdoor Learning Outdoor First Aid Training Framework. The qualification would also satisfy the statutory HSE obligations of an employer who has identified the need for outdoor first aid in their first aid needs assessment.

Optional additional certification - Paediatric First Aid (L3 - 16hr) : This qualification introduces the techniques, skills and decisions that will be needed by the childcare practitioner in the British Isles. The skills and knowledge will be taught in a realistic childcare context with an outdoor focus. The award has been designed to fulfil the need for effective paediatric first aid training set out in The Early Years Foundation Stage guidance and is ideally suited to those childcare practitioners working within, and further from the school setting

With over 20 years' educational experience in both classroom based teaching and outdoor education, taking people outdoors to challenge themselves and learn, our company has its roots in developmental pedagogy.
