Fire Skills Improvement workshop - Adrian Goodhand
About the event
All Trust events and activities taking place from 1st September onwards will be carried out in line with current government guidelines and Health & Safety practices at that time. As this will change over the coming weeks and months, we ask that you check regularly on the website for updates as any of these events may be subject to change or cancellation.
Please help to protect our staff and other members by not attending any of these events if you or anyone in your household is feeling ill or have symptoms of Covid-19.
This fire lighting improvement workshop will give you a chance to practice your fire lighting skills with like-minded people in our beautiful woodland. There will be opportunities to learn about different fire lays, char cloth and char cord making. Learn alternative techniques to get your fire going when your students have mastered the fire striker (dragon sneezer) and are looking for a new challenge. We will make artists' charcoal in a biscuit tin and eat lunch together around the campfire.
The course is aimed at educational professionals, specially qualified Forest School Assistants and Leaders. If you would like to book onto the course but are not qualified in Forest Schools, please contact us to ensure that the course is suitable for you.
