About the event

Level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants is accredited by the Open College Network West Midlands (OCNWM), you will gain a nationally recognised qualification to assist Forest School activities.  Course dates (4 days) Monday 27th to Friday 30th April 2020.

The Level 2 Award for Forest School Assistants training course covers the following:

✓ Understanding the Forest School ethos, principles and holistic approach to learning and development.

✓ How to perform the role of Assistant at a Forest School in relation to the Forest School ethos, principles and criteria.

✓ How to support learning and development at a forest school.

✓ Practice the skills to help children learn and develop in a woodland environment, including fire-lighting, tool use, games, arts and crafts, identification and use of woodland resources

✓ Monthly mentoring days - run as a drop in, a monthly opportunity to receive advice on your portfolio work

✓ Continuing portfolio advice and assessment from the Tutors

Booking is essential, course fee is £490.00.  A £100 deposit is required to confirm a place on the course
