About the event

The perfect day for budding palaeontologists and dinophiles! Learn about fossils and how they’ve helped us to understand the lives and the mass extinction of dinosaurs. Join us on an action-packed Jurassic adventure through the woodland, hunting for fossils, learning about the first palaeontologists and spotting some modern day dinosaur descendants...

We'll even search for dinosaur eggs on an expedition for clues and make our own fossils to take home!

The activities are aimed at 5-11 year olds but all ages are welcome. Not all of our paths are suitable for buggies and pushchairs so if you have very little ones, or babes in arms, then please give us a call and let us know so that we can discuss this with you in more detail to ensure you get the most out of the day. You'll need to bring a (nut-free) packed lunch with you, warm clothes and waterproofs, along with suitable shoes for exploring the woods.
