The Surrey Wildlife Garden Award is open to individuals, businesses and community organisations, and it doesn't matter how big or small your garden is.

Categories

The Surrey Wildlife Garden Award is open to everyone in Surrey and is judged on the following categories:

Balcony

It doesn't matter if you don't have a private garden. If you're providing food, water and shelter for wildlife on your balcony, enter the award to see how your patch shapes up for wildlife!

Private garden

Is your garden or courtyard bursting with wildlife?  Enter now for the chance to win!

Community garden

The Surrey Wildlife Garden award is also open to community gardens. If you're working together to make space for nature, enter now!

School garden

Has your school created a wildlife garden for children to maintain and enjoy? If so, enter now for the chance to win £50 of Squires Garden Centres vouchers.

Business grounds

If your organisation is making space for wildlife, we want to know! Enter the Surrey Wildlife Garden Award and be recognised for your efforts!

Awards

To qualify for an award, gardens must meet the following criteria:

Gold award

To qualify for a gold award, your garden must include twelve or more of the listed wildlife garden features, and must include at least three features from each section.

Gold award gardens will receive a wildlife garden certificate and garden plaque.

The top 3 Gold award nominees from each catagory may be contacted for further assessment to find Surrey's best wildlife gardens.

Silver award

To qualify for a silver award, your garden must include eight or more of the listed wildlife garden features, and must include at least two features from each section.

Silver award gardens will receive a wildlife garden certificate. 

Bronze award

To qualify for a gbronze award, your garden must include four or more of the listed wildlife garden features, and must include at least one feature from each section.

Bronze award gardens will receive a wildlife garden certificate.
