Hedgerow Heritage is a new Heritage Lottery Funded Project focused on protecting and enhancing hedgerows in the North Downs in Surrey by rejuvenating interest in our hedgerow heritage and the traditional skill of hedgelaying.
We need a Project Manager to take this amazing opportunity, develop links with landowners and lead a varied programme of surveys and practical work with schools, young people and community groups across Surrey.
Educated to degree level, with a passion for countryside management and nature conservation, you will need to be enthusiastic, extremely well organised with excellent communication skills. A track record of delivering landscape based projects and practical habitat management is essential. Ideally you will also have experience of working proactively with community groups and providing training to a wide range of audiences.
This role involves travel across Surrey, with an office base at SWT HQ in Pirbright.
A full UK driving licence is necessary.
