About the event

Be instructed in the art of crafting different willow items which are both fun and functional, and take these new skills back to school to inspire your students.  You will have the chance to try child-friendly projects such as fish, stars and bird feeders.

These are great, natural activities which help children explore nature and offer embedded learning about the environment and sustainability.  Children use their hand-eye coordination, maths and measuring skills to create crafts they will feel proud of.  This is a great seasonal use for the overgrown fronds decorating many a school willow sculpture!

This workshop is aimed at educational professionals, although others are also welcome.

Tutor Profile : Sara and Hanna from Willowtwisters run live and online willow sculpture courses and craft based workshops from their base in the village of Pirbright.  Sara is a freelance artist and her daughter Hanna works with children with additional needs both at home and abroad.
