Understanding Wetland Package

These courses can be booked separately or together.
If all three courses are booked you will receive an FSC ’What’s in your Pond’ pack, RRP £8.95.

1. Dragonflies: Ecology & ID  (10th July)
2. Wetland Plant ID
3. Pond Ecology, Conservation & Improvement(24th July)

As a 3 part course you will first discover the beauty and value of damselflies and dragonflies living in our ponds. Next we explore the abundance of plants that keep these wetland ecosystems thriving. Finally, we bring all of this knowledge back to your pond where we will review the best ways of enhancing your own wetland area.

Wetland Plant ID

Surrey is a surprisingly wet county with a huge number of rivers, streams and waterbodies such as ponds, lakes and waterlogged quarries. This course is an opportunity for you to develop your skills in identifying the variety of plants that thrive in these wet habitats and learn how they have adapted to their environment.

There will be a mixture of classroom discussion and practical work studying the plants in their natural habitat.
