About the event

We are becoming aware of the major contribution that being physically active and stronger has on the educational attainment of students. This course will help you to learn the best ways to maximise the effectiveness of your Forest School programme by addressing these issues.

We will spend a few hours discussing physical and brain development techniques and how to best integrate them into your own schools. There will then be a workshop looking at the opportunities to develop the physical output and core abilities of attendees at Forest School. We will have an overview of the placement of ladders, rope swings, bridges and the use of tools. You will then learn how to build a simple ladder and place a swing, slackline, tightrope or bridge.

Don’t miss this chance to hone new skills and develop fresh ideas that are certain to enhance the effectiveness of your Forest School.

This is suitable for all levels of Forest School. A rudimentary understanding of knots is prefered but not required.
