The day will involve using a variety of practical habitat management techniques, including scrub clearance and small tree felling. If you like being outdoors and want to gain hands on experience in practical nature conservation while getting fit and having fun, get involved!
The day may also involve erecting new signs across the common using mapping skills to help reduce the effect of fires on sites, by providing Surrey Fire & Rescue Service with site information.
Please wear old clothes, sturdy footwear and bring a packed lunch; tea and biscuits will be provided!
