Wetland Families at WWT Wetland Centre at Barnes

Meet at: WWT Restaurant, 0.25 miles down Queen Elizabeth Walk from its junction with Rocks Lane, Barnes, London, SW13 9WT. Free parking at the WWT Centre.
Admission: Adults £3, Concessions & Surrey Wildlife Trust members £2 donation to Surrey Wildlife Trust Kingston Group. Plus admission to WWT Centre – Adults £10.99, Concessions £8.20, Children (Age 4 – 16) £6.10. Prices include optional Gift Aid.

Join Colin Smith looking for wetland families such as coots, moorhens, common terns, lapwings, redshanks, little ringed plovers, grebes, cygnets, martins and many more.Nearest Train Station: Barnes rail station is just 25 minutes from Waterloo or 10 minutes from Clapham Junction. It is then a 15 minute walk to the WWT Centre (or 5 minutes by buses 72 or 33). Nearest bus: Catch number 283 bus direct to the centre from Hammersmith bus station (stand K). Alternatively buses 33, 72 and 209 stop nearby (alight at the Red Lion stop, approximately 150 metres walk from the WWT Centre). Please note: outside of opening hours (i.e. before 9.30am and after about 5.45pm) the 283 bus terminates nearby in Barnes, rather than coming directly into the centre.
