Norbury Park Sawmill Open Day

Meet at: Norbury Park Saw Mill, Norbury Park, Mickleham, Dorking, RH5 6DN. The mill is situated near Mickleham on the A24 between Dorking and Leatherhead. Enter park via narrow iron bridge and follow signs up to the mill.
Admission: Suggested donation, adults £2, children £1.

Come and see what the Norbury Park Sawmill Team get up to at the mill. We will be running live displays of how we cut large diameter oak trees and what can go horribly wrong (!), timber origins and how we season timber. We will also be running demonstrations of how we produce furniture in the joinery workshop (10.30am & 2pm), and how we process all our timber waste, plus demonstrations of woodland craft such as charcoal making, which is on sale along with our furniture and other products. Gates open at 10am and demonstrations start at 10.30am and run throughout the day. Gates close at 4pm. Tea and coffee will be provided for donations. Parking is available at the mill or at the other main car parks in the park with a one mile stroll to the mill. No booking required.
