As well as a great chance to make new friends and meet your neighbours, community wildlife projects help improve local greenspaces for people and wildlife.
We aim to encourage people to take a more active role in helping conserve their local environment
We work with people from all walks of life - industry, church groups, landowners, communities and families - to make sure the connection between people and wildlife is not forgotten.
At Surrey Wildlife Trust, we aim to inspire people about the wonders of the natural world and encourage them to take a more active role in helping conserve their local environment.
We have dedicated Community Engagement officers who provide support, advice, training and experience to local communities enabling them to enjoy their local green spaces.
This enjoyment and active participation can take many forms – for some it is practical conservation work or attending training courses to learn more about wildlife, for others managing local green spaces, or perhaps attending a guided walk or a family event.
