Primary Programmes

Our primary programmes have been designed to cover a range of key topics and meet curriculum requirements from Early Years to Year 6.

Each session is planned with the children in mind, involving a range of engaging activities and games to suit all learning styles. Encouraging an inquisitive mind, creativity and teamwork are key aims of every session, as well as subject-specific learning outcomes.

We adapt and tailor each programme to your requirements so that you can always get the perfect session for your class.

BRAND NEW PROGRAMMES for 2018:

KS2: Map and Compass
Learn skills for life with our Map and Compass session! Begin by finding your location and interpreting key symbols on OS maps of different scales, and then use our 3D models to understand contour lines and the topography of the land. Take it further with 6 figure grid references and 8 point compass directions before testing your new skills on our adventure challenge trail!

KS2&3: GIS: Dormouse Study or Village Study
Nower Wood: a woodland study investigating dormice habitat
Bay Pond: a Village Study looking at the human geography of Godstone
Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are increasingly important in the modern world, and this is being reflected in the geography curriculum. Give your students a hands-on introduction to GIS by collecting real data, generating maps and interpreting results. This session makes GIS simple and accessible for all.

Visiting our Centres

Our two education centres each have large, private nature reserves to give your class a unique, immersive experience and to give you peace of mind regarding the children's safety. You can find more information on both of our centres here.

Schools typically choose two of our half day sessions or one full day session, with a normal day running from 10:00 – 14:15 including a break for lunch which the children bring with them. All of our activities are planned and presented with the children’s safety in mind, and led by experienced staff who are First Aid trained and DBS checked.

Prices
For visits to our centres, please see representative prices below. There is a room deposit of £100 for each visit, and the prices below are per child (there is no charge for accompanying adults).
