Premier Miton Investors and Surrey Wildlife Trust announce new partnership for nature

Surrey Wildlife Trust and investment firm, Premier Miton Investors, have agreed a new three-year partnership which will provide a boost to the Trust’s chalk grasslands and Wilder Schools projects.

Along with donating vital funds to two of the Trust's projects, Premier Miton staff will also carry out volunteering work on the Trust’s nature reserves – in particular, on valuable areas of chalk grassland which supports rare wildflowers, reptiles, birds and insects.

Mike O’Shea, Chief Executive Officer at Premier Miton says:

“We believe that supporting nature and biodiversity isn’t just a good thing to do – it’s a necessary step to ensure that people and businesses continue to prosper.  By investing in Surrey’s unique habitats and supporting the Wilder Schools project, we believe we can help to inspire the next generation to take action for nature.”

Surrey Wildlife Trust has a mission to restore 30% of Surrey’s land to nature by 2030, and to inspire one in four people to take action for nature.  It works with businesses, communities, public bodies and other charities to achieve these goals.

Sarah Jordan, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Surrey Wildlife Trust, says:

“The business community has a vital part to play in helping save and maintain the wild places that support us.  Having supported the Trust since 2019, it’s great news that Premier Miton have chosen to deepen their partnership with us.  We look forward to welcoming their staff to Surrey’s beautiful and restorative natural habitats”.

The Wilder Schools programme works with schools across Surrey to help teachers and pupils embed learning about the natural world into the curriculum and transform school grounds into places where nature thrives.
