Christmas is coming and the Trust is here to help make your celebrations a little bit wilder this year. With Santa’s grotto, festive events, wild presents and Christmas trees – we’ve got Christmas all wrapped up!

Father Christmas and his elves are coming to our Bay Pond nature reserve in Godstone this year - so why not join him for a sackful of festive fun on Sunday December 11th?

Your winter treat begins with a wildlife walk down to the woods, where you will join the elves around a camp fire for Christmas crafts and marshmallow toasting. Visit Santa in his bird hide grotto to receive your gift, before enjoying a hot chocolate back in the barn.

Give the gift of nature this year and help your friends and family discover their wild side. Buy gift membership of Surrey Wildlife Trust and inspire a lifelong love of nature – this Christmas we’re offering 15 months’ membership for the price of 12!

Adopt an otter or goat for your loved one and receive an adorable cuddly toy and species information pack. Or how about some wildlife course gift vouchers - a treat for anyone who loves the outdoors. You can also support the Trust by buying our beautiful wildlife calendar and Christmas cards, with their stunning nature imagery.

We also have a host of festive events to help get you into the Christmas spirit this December, with creative craft days, seasonal workshops and winter walks.
• Christmas Decorations Workshop – Make your own natural table and tree decorations or a Christmas wreath. Festive drinks, nibbles and music provided. Sat Dec 3, 10am-12noon or 1pm-3pm, Thames Ditton.
• Festive Crafts Evening – Use natural materials to make a Christmas wreath, table and tree decorations. Mince pies and mulled wine provided. Thurs Dec 8, 6-8pm, Merstham.
• In the Bleak Midwinter – Escape the Christmas rush with a winter walk on the North Downs. Sat Dec 17, 10.30am-1pm, East Clandon.

“Going wild with the Trust this Christmas is a great way of supporting wildlife where you live,” said the Trust’s Charlotte Magowan. “Profits raised from our Christmas events and gifts will help us continue our work conserving and caring for nature into the New Year and beyond - remember wildlife is not just for Christmas!”

And if you’re buying a real Christmas tree this year, why not buy a fresh one from Surrey Wildlife Trust? Nordmann Firs are now on sale outside Newlands Corner Visitor Centre and Ockham Bites Café at Ockham Common. Prices range from £32 for 4ft trees to £48 for 6ft trees provided by Pines and Needles.
