Cargill supports SWT with £5,000 award

Cobham-based company Cargill, world leaders in food, agriculture, financial and industrial products and services, has awarded SWT £5,000 as part of an in-house charity nomination scheme.

This is great news and most welcome. We cannot thank Angela enough for thinking of us and taking the time to put forward our case.

Cargill employee Angela Baker, who is also a member of the Trust, nominated SWT for the Cargill Cares Council scheme which supports local causes within three strategic focus areas: food and nutrition, education, and protecting and enhancing the environment.

Angela submitted information outlining the great work SWT does to protect and enhance Surrey’s wildlife and the benefits this, in turn, brings the local community. The Cargill Cares Council then chose three charities to support, of which the Trust was one.

Jo Curtis, Brand Communications Coordinator at Cargill said: "We are pleased to be supporting Surrey Wildlife Trust. At Cargill we are committed to reducing environmental impact and improving the communities where we live and work. We help build vibrant and stable communities by supporting programs that provide long-term solutions, engage our employees, and provide opportunities to collaborate with others".
