Have you met our Community Fundraisers?
Surrey Wildlife Trust has a team of friendly Community Fundraisers that are either self-employed or employed by fundraising agencies specifically for the Wildlife Trusts. The Trust maintains close contact with our representatives and holds regular meetings with them. In order to recruit new members for the Trust they travel the county attending events, meeting people outside supermarkets, garden centres and other venues sympathetic to our conservation work and calling door to door in the early evening. We find this to be the most cost effective way of fundraising and getting our message across to people.
You can meet our Community Fundraisers on the dates and at the venues listed below. They will be happy to tell you more about our work and if you have specific questions about wildlife and conservation in the County they can direct you to one of our expert staff at the Trust. We encourage new members to pay monthly by Direct Debit to help them spread the cost of their donation over the year and help us with a steady income flow. We hope that you will support us in this way and give what you can to support our important conservation work. Our Community Fundraisers only accept memberships by Direct Debit, thus ensuring no money is exchanged at the point of sign-up. It can take up to three weeks after signing up to receive your welcome pack (but we hope to process it much more quickly than this). No debits are made to your bank account until approximately two weeks after you have received your welcome pack from the Trust.
If you have any concerns about joining as a member after signing up you will have been given a postcard with our contact details to telephone and check that we have received your application. Contact Membership Services on 01483 795445 and give your full name, postcode and the date and venue where you joined as a member.
We have a fundraising complaints procedure. If you have any concerns or complaints regarding the way you were signed up as a member please contact the Membership Manager, Kati Reeve at the Trust either in writing by letter or email to Surrey Wildlife Trust, School Lane, Pirbright, Woking, Surrey, GU24 0JN or email info@surreywt.org.uk. For a more informal discussion by telephone, speak to Kati on 01483 795460. Our reputation as the leading conservation charity in Surrey is very important to us and we want to offer our members the best possible service. We are members of the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association (PFRA), The Fundraising Standards Board and the Institute of Fundraising and follow their Fundraising Codes of Practice and Fundraising Promise to the public. If we cannot resolve your complaint, we accept the authority of the Fundraising Standards Board to make a final adjudication.
Thank You for joining the Trust, we hope that you enjoy being a member and supporting our important conservation work, much of which is only possible through the generosity of our supporters.
