Learn more about the dragons and damsels of Surrey. The numerous rivers, streams and water bodies found across the county are home to these beautiful predatory insects. This course is an opportunity for you to develop the skills to identify dragonflies & damselflies and appreciate how they have adapted to their environment.

You will learn to use wildlife keys to identify each unique species and to study their ecology. A portion of this course will be spent in the classroom, but the majority will take place outside spotting them in their natural habitat.
