Environmental Challenge Days
Surrey Wildlife Trust offers your business a beneficial and cost effective way to enhance staff morale, productivity and team working skills, while helping the Trust undertake vital nature conservation projects.
Environmental Challenge Days provide an excellent chance for employees to have a novel and memorable day away from the office in a relaxed but carefully structured setting.
Practical Conservation Tasks
Team tasks undertaken on our nature reserves are usually dictated by seasonal considerations and can include tree planting, fabricating and installing steps, fences, disabled paths or pond dipping platforms, invasive scrub clearance (young birch and bracken), building bonfires or ragwort pulling.
Many companies find our corporate volunteering days offer fantastic team building and staff development opportunities. Whether it is an informal team building day or simply the chance for your staff to get together and put something back into the community, we always welcome extra pairs of hands.
Full training will be given on the day, and expert Trust staff will be on hand to supervise.
There is a standard minimum charge of £500 (+VAT) per term. This covers our time to plan, organise and run the day for your team, insurance, refreshments, tools and safety equipment.
How Your Business Can Benefit:
- Improved image to clients and customers, the end results are 'solid' and can be the focal point for a photo opportunity
- Improve motivation and team building skills, successful completion is reliant on team work
- Enhanced performance and morale, a relaxed environment where staff can interact on a level playing field
- Additional staff training and development, small working parties within the group means that individuals from different departments can work together where they might not in an office situation
- Improved staff recruitment and retention, research shows that this kind of activity is beneficial for both physical and mental well being
