Little Wellies event at Norbury Park - Volunteers needed!

Posted: Wednesday 26th April 2017 by Volunteering

Our events team would love to have some extra help, so if you have a little free time and are willing, then why not get involved?

For the second year running, Little Wellies are coming to Norbury Park on 13th/14th May.

The Little Welly experience is all about getting kids active, outdoors, running, jumping and of course, muddy.

A huge part of the event is focussed around helping children to connect with nature, giving them a sense of adventure and freedom to run wild, and that is where Surrey Wildlife Trust comes in.

We will be running lots of free activities from leaf bashing, mud kitchens, mini-beast hunts and quizzes to a 30 days wild trial.

We are looking for volunteers to help us run the following planned activities:

• Leaf bashing
• Camp fire cooking (marshmallows)
• Mud kitchen
• Live animals & minibeast hunt
• Fire lighting (weather dependent)
• Gods eyes
• boxes of death challenge
• Quiz area for adults (promoting adult ed)
• Wearing badger costume

I'd like to volunteer >>
