Volunteer With Our Education Team

Posted: Tuesday 19th April 2016 by Volunteering

Volunteering with our Outdoor Learning Team is a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation and make a positive difference to the future of Surrey’s countryside and wildlife.

We are looking for a few enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to work alongside our experienced Outdoor Learning Team to run our education programmes from beginning of May to end of August 2016.

This friendly team, travel around the county visiting schools and running sessions in either school grounds or a nearby reserve.

Programmes are wide reaching and the team cater for ages 2 to 18 so there’s the chance to work with many different groups.

What I enjoy the most about volunteering is working with young children and seeing their enthusiasm for the experiences we offer

Sessions include a variety of activities such as mini-beast hunting, pond dipping, forest schools, holiday clubs, undersea explorers, plant surveying, A-level coursework or bespoke tailored sessions.

You might like to help with being an extra pair of eyes and hands, floating between different activities, leading games and activities, managing small groups of children on different tasks, sharing their own expertise and much, much more!

You can choose the age group you work with and we’ll give you all the training you need.

If you would like to become an education volunteer please complete our online registration form: http://www.surreywildlifetrust.org/how-you-can-help/volunteer or contact volunteers@surreywt.org.uk
